Axe, “War Eagle”
 
     A buhurt long-axe with a historically common shape that has transcended and become something else entirely, “War Eagle” is the “beautiful destroyer”. Aptly named for the strange contradiction that exists between the beauty of art and nature, and the tools of war, axe “War Eagle” strikes the perfect balance as a modern buhurt tool - possessing both beauty, and a specific purpose in a non-lethal sport where the ethos of competition involves love, family, and brotherhood. 
 
Light enough to be hafted on longer shafts, or on shorter shafts with a pommel, long axe “War Eagle” is a regal, mid-weight chopper at the default length, and is based on the gorgeous extant example seen in the picture above. 
Modified for buhurt sport and full-contact steel-fighting, the beefy design of “War Eagle” begs to be used at maximum power, paining-out your opponents, or forcing them to retreat from its punishing blows. 
The historically accurate hammer-head adds balance that aids both in attack and recovery - and along with the octogonal haft, ensures that the axe will rarely twist in your hands after a successful strike.
Forged using high-quality spring-steel and can be hafted on your choice of: Beech / Ash / or Composite with Bamboo, which is then reinforced using thick, cotton-glued wire and linen tape to protect and extend the longevity of the weapon.
